Are you sure that this is the case? I booked my wedding with Karisma back in July and the pricing for the dinner was 59$ and now its $70 something. I just assumed that the pricing had gone up and that we would have to pay the new costs. Can you share with us the e-mail that Fabio sent you confirming the pricing from then?

Thanks.
I do not have an e-mail confirming it. I spoke with him. I have the date and the time I spoke with him if that helps. You should call and confirm for youself as well. Sorry I do not have an e-mail.

He has different prices depending on what you want. His packages are very customizeable. So you should email him to get a good idea of what he charges. He is traveling from Monterrey so travel arrangements and costs would have to be negotiated as well.

Does the deposit refer to the deposit to hold the date or deposits for the private dinner?

Is anyone using the videographer from Claudia's photo (it's her husbands company)? We booked him for our date but he didnt require a deposit or a contract, I'm wondering if this is common practice for them and I'm supposed to contact Lomas to figure all that out.

I too was concerned and confused about Canadians and the "free wedding package" So I emailed the resort. What I found out is that Canadians can qualify for the free wedding package as long as they are not using Signature Vacations.

I am not really sure how Canadian Tour Companies work (maybe TA Jennifer can help us out with this one) but my understanding is that Signature is able to offer the best rates, by how much I do not know. In fact, I am anxious to know what rates other Canadian Tour Companies can offer because I too wanted to book the Honeymoon suite and free wedding.
We have a small group of 12 going down so depending on how much more the rate is my Fiance and I could pay the difference for each of our guests and possibly still save money. Unfortunately, we have already booked and paid so there is not much we can do about it now, but it is still frustrating. If I had known this information before I would have researched it further. PM me if you want to compare rates and info.

Love your Dress by the way. Very unique!

Here is the website to my dress Ladies! But the top right picture is not what the back looks like-its not even the same dress huh.gif

Mrs StephP...

I did some number crunching this weekend, and I think we are better off to book through Signature and pay for the wedding package as opposed to the other way. Signatures rate for the honeymoon suite is really good, and with the rate of exchange nowadays we end up better off. Unless there's another way to book the honeymoon suite that's at a discount from the Karisma website that I don't know abouthuh.gif Cheers!

Hi Polina,

The same thing happened with me. I originally wanted to use Mexican Wedding Photos and she did not ask for a deposit. She told me that my date was reserved and to just stay in contact with the onsite wedding coordinator. I think they just add it to your final bill that has to be paid before the wedding.

After speaking with Fabio today he said each reception location has a # of guests requirements and if the wedding does not fall within the requirement you cannot use the reception place, you can only choose places that you have the right amount of people for.

He also said we have send him our complete list ceremony and reception choices and other preferences 90 days prior to the wedding, then 60 days prior we provide the final list with any changes and 30 days prior the final payment is due. We can send him our preferences now but we cannot make a final request until 90 days prior. He will not be able to lock anything down for us before that. That goes for anything, flowers, DJ, locations, canopies, etc.
