How to get smoke odor out of microfiber couch?

Help! We got a sectional couch from our neighbor which is nice BUT he smokes in his house. Ewwwwww so it smells like smoke.

Is there any way to get out the smell or is it a lost cause?

I was thinking febreeze but there's only so much febreeze can do.

cool about the couch, but yuck about the smell! i was going to suggest baking soda, sprinkle all over then vacuum, but what type of material is it made of? if its fabric it might work, but prolly not on leather sad.gif

It's microfiber, the one that looks like suede but isn't. That's a great idea with baking soda! Thanks!

Good to know, I was actually going to attempt this. How did it ruin them? Were they not as soft any more?

Brilliant! Thanks! I think I may contact Haverty's too come to think of it because that's where it was purchased less than a year ago.

Thank you gals once again!
