I've already wrapped my head around the fact that I'm moving so I really don't care but I post this for you Dec and beyond brides.

Here's a link for those of you who speak espanol!
Riviera Maya: Niegan amparo al Dreams Tulum contra clausura de la Profepa

Ugghhh! I just had one of my friends read this article and give me a "low down"

If this article is accurate and credible, it does not look likely for a reopening in the foreseeable future ladies.

Maybe a limited reopening with a lot of demolition once this legal battle plays itself out.

Question is...Now what? How long do we wait?

We are stuck in limbo land until Dreams contacts us to move our weddings.

This is soooooooooooooo frustrating, I can hardly stand it.

This is interesting since the article states that for the second time the judge has ruled in favor of the environment protection agency (Profepa) and against Dreams Resort!

I understand that this article published may not be accurate but the information we are receiving from the resort may not be accurate as well.

Even more frustrating is the fact that both statements contradict each other.

I have tried repeatedly to call the office of AM Resorts in Newton Square, PA. Each time I dial an extension, it mysteriously gets disconnected another furstrating aspect of this issue.

I'm trying sooo hard to stay calm and this just makes me soo mad becuase we have to wait through yet another weekend.

I'm venting.....

i understand that they have said this before...but this is just what i was told. i guess there is no harm in wishing for the best. i truly believe that daniel and dreams tulum truly believe this will be resolved soon but the timing is out of their hands.

i am surprised that so many people are trying to contact AMResorts instead of trying to get the information from dreams tulum.. since dreams tulum is in the "front lines".

i can totally understand everyone's frustrations because i have a bunch of brides that are being affected by this as well so trust me, i have had the sleepless nights, i have yelled at people unneccesarily etc...i promise if i hear any news, i'll update

here is a post of a mother of the bride, from the dreams forum. i hope this makes some of you relocated barcelo bride at ease.

I just wanted to let everyone know that we just returned from having our daughter's wedding October 18th that was scheduled for over a year at Dreams Tulum. We were so nervous about being relocated but everything went perfectly. You will be well taken care of should you need to be relocated and make sure the wedding coordinator gets your list of wedding attendees (when asked) and the arrival/departure dates of all guests. The coordinators will keep you posted however they are so busy arranging alternative arrangements for many weddings that you just need to trust them and be patient. Lizet did an awesome job of handling my daughter's wedding and everything went perfectly!!! Absolutely no problems at all.......except a little rain . We were relocated to the Barcelo Maya Palace and felt welcomed by them as well. There were 23 in our wedding party and no one had any complaints or problems.

We do hope Dreams opens soon and hope that we can return someday to visit the resort we originally planned to visit. However, I just want everyone with a wedding planned in the near future to rest assured......you will be well taken care of by the Dreams staff!!!! Lizet..........thanks again for making my daughter's wedding the best she could have hoped for!
