Sending Guest Gifts After or Before Wedding?

Hello Ladies,

I was reading an article online about a couple opting to send their guests gifts before or after the wedding to avoid packing them in their suitcases. Has anyone heard of this? Was this well received?

I just gave out my oot bags but i called them "Departure Gift Bags". We dont leave for another week or so and i gave them out about a week ago. Everyone loved them. I also made a "What you need to know before you go" booklet to put with it, i stole that idea from taMaureen and made a packing brochure. My guests loved the booklets and packing brochure. I'm so glad i gave them out already and dont have to take all that stuff with me.

I'm planning to send my guest gifts a month before the wedding. I'm calling it a pre cruise care package. I think it will be exciting for them to receive a package in the mail and also pump them up for the trip! The only bummer is not being able to see them open it.

Andrea it's so much fun getting packages in the mail. I would love to get a pre cruise package. I'm sure all your guests will love it.

That is actually a good idea. I am making bags for my guests and have been wondering how to get them to the destination. I usually overpack and wouldn't have room to pack anything besides my things.
