Small guest list, should we do it?

If you do this - yes, typically you have a smaller version of your bouquet made as the toss bouquet.

But - for those that want to keep their bouquets - can we bring them back to the US? I guess I always assumed you couldn't because of customs. Anyone know?

I have always "suddenly" had to go to the bathroom whenever the bouquet toss comes up at weddings. Its a joke between my fiance and I --- I dont really mind the catching part -- i just always thought it was silly to parade all the single women like a cattle call and then make them fight to be the next one to be married...

You can send your flowers back to the US but it could be a PITA

I was at a wedding last year where all the married couples were asked to the dance floor. They started to dance and then couples were eliminated based on time together. The couple married the longest received the bouquet and garter as a celebration of marriage and good luck to the bride and groom.

May not work for a smaller wedding but it's an idea.

I've always hated this tradition as well and never participate, hahaha, last time we went to a wedding, FI tried not to participate, he ended up catching the garter without even trying and he flung it and ran away, but everyone saw him and they knew he would make it fun, so they made him do it. But it was funny because he danced around a little tried to make it fun, but then only went up to her knee and walked away, I think she was a little insulted, oh well, he's taken and he's not sticking his hands up your dress, hahaha!
