How many of you are doing a site visit?

Recommended Posts

Ok, I have heard so many different things about site visits......If you are doing a site visit, are you going to just make your life easier, and worry free for planning?!

I have also heard of some of the resorts including some of the costs for a site visit before your wedding date......

We are going to do a site visit, but just very confused with the Dreams resorts right now! Finding that they are offering different things to diffferent people and want to get the most out of this if it is available!!!!!

Thanks girls!

I've done two site visits, but they were really just excuses to go on vacation. We did get alot done while we were there, but it's not really necessary. We just wanted to confirm that the location we thought we wanted was really the right way to go, and went the second time because we got a free site visit from our room block.

Ok, when you say "free site visit"...Is that just the price per person for the resort that they gave you? and not airfare right?
(sorry, confused again!)

We got two nights free, not including airfare.

i am the same as sarah- we did a "free" site visit (means 3 nights free room, alcohol and food) but we paid for our airfare and shuttle service. i wasnt planning on doing this and was going to wing-it, but ended up going with a girfriend (matt couldnt go) for fun- and i am glad i did- just to be able to actually see the locations, taste the foods, check out the resort, etc- but it is definately not necessary.

I was really happy we did a site visit!!! Both of our parents were not crazy about a wedding in Mexico and so we took TONS of pictures when we were down there. It was great to do the food tasting and meet the coordinator and other vendors too. We are having a big wedding though (~100 people) so I think it was really necessary for us. We got 3 nights free at the hotel and just coordinated it around a vacation (new years).

I highly recommend it, but if you can't make it happen, I wouldn't worry about it b/c you can get all the info you need from this site and over email with your vendors and coordinator.
