So.. I found this pink peony that I LOVE at Michaels because it feels and I think looks really real. Now I wanted to put a flower in my hair for the wedding. On the side really, sinceI have shorter hair, pull one side back behind my ear...

Question.. Do you think that it is too big to make a flower out of it? I was thinking of just putting a lobster type of clasp in the back. I don't think that a comb will hold it?!

Here is a pic. Honestly. Too big? think that it will flop over/ too heavy? Or how can I secure it and keep it looking professional?

THANKS FOR THE INPUT!

I think the problem with a peony is that it's not only wide (i.e. across or circumference) but also that it's pouffy. So I think those two things together make it too big. I think it's okay to go large if it's flat (like a lily or something similar, i.e. amaryllis like mine, hybiscus, etc) or it's okay to go pouffier if it's smaller, but you don't want to go large and pouffy.

SunBride - was your flower real or fake? Where did you find yours? I want to do a fake flower so it holds up but the one I wanted to order was $125 and that seems outrageous so I was thinking of trying to recreate it by just buying the flower at Michaels.
