Your chosen songs-1st dance and father/daughter

Recommended Posts

Hello there!

What songs did you choose or have thought about for the 1st dance and the father/daughter dance? I'm thinking about "I'll remember" by madonna or "wind beneath my wings" by Bette Midler for the father/daughter.

I had also thought about "unchained melody" for the first dance, but after listening closely to the words...it seems like a really sad song. I will need to pick something else. Any suggestions?

It doesn't matter...as long as it's moving. I gotta tell you, I was listening to wind beneath my wings yesterday and envisioning the dance with my dad, and I started getting emotional. I'd love to hear any suggestions.

no problem!

a good tip: before you post a thread, use the search function (upper right hand corner) to see if the topic has been brought up before. chances are if its wedding related, it will already have been discussed extensively!

I don't have a clue what song we are going to use for our first dance, but the father/daughter dance will be "You are my sunshine" by Nat King Cole. It's more upbeat and kind of bluesy, but it's moving to us because my Dad used to sing that to me when I was little!

Good luck with picking your song! Whatever you choose, your Dad will be happy dancing with his "little" girl!
