I think that it would be a no no to tell her how to make the dress better. I think you should just let the whole dress thing go. DOnt talk about or think about it untill the day of the wedding. Buy the way when and where are you getting married?

Well, when she wanted my opinion that day (2 days ago), I told some stuff she could add, but in the end, I told her I wanted to be surprised. (She always values my opinion) We talked about it yesterday, but les than 2 min worth.

When: December 2008
Where: Philippines

snapshots of brides in their dress are nothing like what they look like on the wedding day. Just browse through the thread of all of the wedding dresses. There isn't that WOW factor. but, then when you see the actual pictures it's so different. You will be blown away on the day of. Seeing a picture is nothing.

i agree with Morgan - she is going to look completely different the day of the wedding - all the little things, when they add up - the whole look is complete!

Thank you all for the advice, and I'm not "nuts" about this anymore.

I guess by wanting to help her with the dress addons, I was just trying to help in all aspects of the wedding.

EDIT: The funny thing is that she wants me to help her pick out some of the accessories :P

I'm confused- she knows you saw it and doesn't care or you saw it and she doesn't know?

Either way- I don't think one snapshot really matters. I look at pictures of me in my dress pre-wedding and I don't look anywhere close to the same way I looked on the wedding day. After- it's just a dress right. :)

I think the way a bride looks on her wedding day is much more than what she's wearing. It's more about that glow and all the emotions she is wearing that everyone will notice first and foremost. They are her greatest accessory. The rest is just added bonuses.

She knows cause she is that one that showed me, but I really didn't want to see it in the first place.

Good point, so even if I helped her pick it or not (I didn't - she picked it), or even pick the accessories for it (kind of, but not really)....the overall emotion of the event itself will be above and beyond anything :)
