Spinning Inspiration? Calling all avid spinners!

Recommended Posts

Hey girls!

Since I joined my new gym in April, I've wanted to start spinning because they offer about 20 classes a week, I've never tried it and its an amazing workout. At first, I told myself I needed to train for a while to get back into better shape. Now that I am actually in better shape, I need the motivation to get on the bike and get over the fear of getting my ass kicked in Spinning class!

Please help with some inspiration to get me on the bike!

I love spin! DH and I go twice a week on Tues & Thurs mornings at 6am! If I can get my butt up to do it that early....you will surely be just fine! You booty will hurt after the first class, but it does get better :) Great workout...and really gives me super energy the rest of the day. Good luck :)

Yep- I'm a Goodlife member and it's the first time I've been a member at a gym where spinning is included in the membership! I want to take advantage of everything they offer. I am addicted to BodyPump and BodyAttack is a killer workout, so now I have to try the RPM (spinning) classes to keep motivated!

Thanks for the sore booty warning! My gym offers 6am classes, but I don't know if I could drag myself out of bed for it! I'd love the energy burst in the morning though!

You'll love the RPM classes...they follow the same format each time (just like attack and pump do) and the music is great. We're in a new release now (you've probably already done the pump one!), so it is the perfect time to try!! You'll hear the same release for the next few weeks and get to know the format of the class. And yes, your bum will hurt after the first time...best remedy is to get back on the bike within a few days...have fun!!!

Spinning rocks! I'm so jealous you have RPM there...we have very small gyms where I live, so they don't offer those classes. But, everytime I go to my parents' house for the weekend, I hit a spinning class. I've got a really good gel seat that helps with the sore bum (they're pretty cheap too, i think i bought mine at sports authority). And the best part about spinning is that you can burn up to 700 calories in an hour long class (or so they tell me!)

Spinning is a fantastic workout!

I haven't done it in a long time because I don't have my gym membership, but I'm trying to find somewhere that I can just take classes and pay as I go.

As others have said your butt will definitely hurt the first time you do it, A LOT! And the first time I did the class I thought I was going to vomit, it was really intense!

But seriously, after you do it the first time, make sure you go back and do it again in a day or two. Your butt won't hurt nearly as much and it gets easier every time.

I used to love Pump too, another one of my favorites!
