Everyone sounds like they are doing so well already. Good for you.

 

Myself on the other hand... I decided not to start my diet and excersize until Monday. Thursday I had a golf tournament and drank like a fish and ate like a pig. Tomorrow I have beer games... this might sound silly, but every year my FI, his buddies and all the wives and girlfriends get together and play games all day (like bocca, texas horseshoes and cricket). We eat til our bellies hurt and drink until we can't stand up and at the end of the day someone is awarded the Beer games cup. It's a lot of fun and only happens once a year.

 

So Monday morning I'm back on track with my diet and excersise. My workout buddie just renovated her workout room and it looks fantastic, very zen like, a place we will enjoy spending a lot of time. I'll be up at 6:30am to go for a 45min run every weekday morning, stop in at my workout buddies place every weekday afternoon for 45mins of strenth training and work really hard at keeping on track with a modified South Beach diet. I'm actually excited and looking forward to working out again.

I've tried to focus since Wednesday - been to the gym twice, have swam everyday and done a dog-walk twice/day.......my problem is every time i drive past COLD STONE CREAMERY - my car automatically turns into the parking lot :) Isn't that amazing??

OMG Ladies! I can't believe how much this has helped my motivation. I actually skipped happy hour tonight (ON A FRIDAY) and went to the gym instead. I don't think I've ever been to the gym on a Friday EVER! I started out not wanting to work out but I managed 95 mins on the treadmill 60 of it running.

 

I did really well with my eating too. All low fat foods and tons of veggies.

 

Thanks so much for this thread. Hopefully I can keep it up.

lol. I really do love to workout. I physically feel better, I'm in a better mood and I love the results on my body. Unfortunately I fall off the workout wagon sometimes and I have to remind myself about all the good things of working out.

Sounds like everyone is hanging in there. That is awesome. FI plays softball in the summer so Friday night there was a double header and then off to the sponsor (the bar). Did better then I have in a long time...drinking that is. In the back of my mind was all of you and the challenge. It kept me focused...so THANKS!smile159.gif

 

Becksy - the beer games sound like a lot of fun. Enjoy!

 

No exercise today....running around here and there. Hopefully tomorrow I can squeeze some in.

So I switched to the MGD 64 beer earlier this week. only 64 calories per can/bottle. It really wasn't all that bad. I gave up the chips, ice cream, mac & cheese, pizza etc. you know all the good stuff for this contest and myself but I just couldn't give up the beer. I need it for my sanity.

 

Oh god, thinking about all that food is making me hungry sad.gif

So today I had a rally for my part time business. It was an all day thing with training sessions and everything. What did they offer for lunch you ask?

 

Cookies, Popcorn, hot dogs, and pretzels with cheese. Breakfast was coffee and donuts.

 

How in the world do you get around that?!

 

It was a baseball theme so I guess they were going with the theme.

 

Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.
