The other night I got called in to do a night shift with my Mom, so we took my dress and my daughters dress and started on some beading. That was one thing when we got the dresses from ebay is that they both came with beading on the front, Hailey's came with a little bit of beading on the back and mine had none. The beading isn't really that difficult actually, and Mom made me a deal, she will do the beading on my dress and I have to do Hailey's. I think that is fair. We each only used one thread during the night, but I was able to get the center of 3 flowers done.

Even when she comes over, the kids are always right there - and they are VERY loud. I have two kids but they are never that loud. I think she is overwhelmed with her life and doing it all. She totally needs a break. When I was helping her move, I noticed her and her husband both talk VERY loud to eachother. I kept thinking, why are they shouting?

I don't know, I am just disappointed in her lack of involvement. She was supposed to call the other BM's to tell them about the assembly day - and nope - she never called them.

Whatever...I am just going to sit back and see how long it takes her to call me and when she asks why I haven't called I am going to tell her that lately when I talk to her she seems distracted and doesn't seem that interested in scheduling things or making plans, so I figured I would just stay away until she she was ready and that if something really important needed to get done, that I would just do it myself since she seems so preoccupied with everything else. rant.gif

Sorry for the rant.
Both my MOH and BM have offered to help out with projects, but both of them live far from me. My MOH also just went back to work after being on maternity leave. Unfortunately, she is a nurse that works the weekend program so it is too hard to try and schedule things since I'm off on the weekends. My FI and his mom have been very helpful with the DIY projects so I've been lucky.

I didn't do an assembly line for my invitations.. I just did a few each night in front of the tv etc etc. I've sent out over half now.. the end is near! I didn't mind doing them all myself.. I kinda pat myself on the back with how good they look.. haha!

The beading isn't actually that bad. I told FI and I don't know if he thought that we were going to put big bright beads in the shape of smiley faces or what, but he didn't like the idea of it. Then I told him that if we spent the $1200 for my dress and $200 on Hailey's from the store, it would have all the beads on it. Instead we got them both from ebay for a grand total of just under $300 for both dresses with shipping included. Therefore there were not all the beads on it. We are just tacking the beads on to the design on the coloured part of the dresses, so it really isn't hard!

VIP is at 2,000 posts. Not sure what elite is.

So this weekend, I decided to make my wedding party some tank tops with iron on rhinestones. I bought a couple sheets of alpabet letters and cut out letters and made Maid of Honor, Bride and Flower Girl. They turned out pretty good, I think. But looking back I would have just ordered the iron on that says "bride" "maid of honor" and "flower girl" because it would have saved me a lot of time trying to get them all lined up nicely.

I am going to redo the flower girl one. I like how the silver looks better than the pink... but Joann didn't have 2 sheets of silver letters at the time. I also put our initials on the back of the tanks.

FYI in case you are wondering why the flower girl shirt is much larger than an actual flower girl, it is because it is a semi joke. My good friend is doing my flowers, so I made her a flower girl tank.

Here they are: (tanks from Old Navy, on sale 2 for 15)
