Rosehall Resort and Country Club?'s

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Has any one been married or planning on getting married at Rosehall Resort and Country Club. I just got back and thought it was great. The reason I went was that I felt the communication was poor so i thought if they put a face to the emails I would get a quicker response (and I was right). My question is which band did you choosehuh.gif?[/color][/u][/b] There are so many choices for bands and as we know entertainment makes the wedding. I would hate to put so much effort into planning a wedding and the band stink. Please, please contact me if you have any information and if you have any questions.

Thanks

music-less bride :)

Hi Erica,

I wish i could help you with the band, but I'm looking for info on this resort too. Rose Hall is on the short list for my wedding, and my fiance and I are going to check it out next month.

What did you think about it specifically? which location are you going to chose and did you get to taste any of the food or see the reception locations? Does it look as nice in person as on the web site? I'm sure you know it's hard to find infor on this place from people who've been married there.

Any feed back on it would be great!

I just got married there this past Friday the 4th, however I had a dj instead of a band. There was a bride who got married on the 5th with about 150 people and her reception was around the pool and she had a band. She also had a steel band perform for her cocktail hour on the west lawn. I would ask who was playing at her wedding because we could hear them and I thought they were very good. I forget the name of lady who I saw handling her wedding, but it wasn't Natalie, Janet, Conroy or Youlande(sp).

Yes, the communication is very bad. Apparently they have too much work and so little people, but it will come together. I was in your position up until last Friday lol.

The resort was beautiful, the staff was great. The sales and catering folks (those who handle the wedding stuff), ummm, how do I say it nicely, they are working with what they got, lol.

My cocktail hour and reception was at the Three Palms restaurant in the courtyard. The other sites I know of are the West Lawn or the Gazebo. The food was great. My friend got married there last year and it was great then and great for my wedding, so I think they got this part down. IMO, the resort is as pretty if not prettier than the pics on the website.

I hope this helps, but if you have more questions feel free to ask.

I've actually tried to contact them without much success. I'm early in the planning process, so that's ok, but I have a pretty large group and planning an Indian wedding so I feel like I need extra time. For those who got married at Rose Hall do you think they can handle "special requests". For example, my family and at least half of my 150 guests will be purely vegetarian and we want the reception to be 100% veg...do you think this is beyond their abilities?

Much thanks and congrats!

Wow I didn't see all these replys thanks for all the info. Yeah the Staff at the resort was awsome, food was great, but...the wedding planners are hard to get in touch with and me being a crazy fast speed New Yorker it is VERY fustrating. I do feel better now that I met them and they can put a face to my emails maybe that will help communication.

Cocoachico08 - Where did you have your cermony? I am planning on having it on the West End Beach and the reception at the Sugar Mill (waterpark area) I am doing the night before dinner at the 3 Palms. Do you have any pictures you can send or any info that you wish you knew before you got there? What favors did you give? Did you mail them in advance or travel with them?

Congrats to you too...It is like I said very frustrating to contact them I must admit after I gave my depoist the response has been MUCH better. They were VERY willing to speciaize any wedding request (for a fee of course). Where are you planning on having you ceremnony? The beach was a little smaller then I expected but still beautiful and can be set up many ways to fit more people. PM me if you have any other questions.

Wow, this is really informative. It's a little worrisome about the Rose Hall area in general to me that everyone has said that these guys are unresponsive. Have you tried Half Moon?

They were horrible! They didn't reply to a single email and I had to play phone tag for almost three weeks just to find out that they only had the expensive suites available for the weekend I wanted to hold my wedding because the single and double rooms were booked out to a conference. I felt like I was getting the runaround.

so, in comparison, the guys at Rose Hall have been very responsive. They've sent me some price quotes and menus and replied to emails. I was warned by friends who've had destination weddings that you have to get a running start on anything you need done in a certain amount of time because of the WC workload and the relaxed island atmosphere, so I'm prepared for a bit of a delay. And I've found that with other resorts I've tried to contact as well. But the complete radio silence from Half Moon made me almost relieved when I found out it wouldn't work there.

It's great to hear from people who have gotten married there and enjoyed it. And Erica, I'll PM you. Thanks!
