what to wear under the dress?

Recommended Posts

I think that I am going to get a body slimmer (at least that is what I think it is called) My Mom was looking at some on ebay and thinks that would be better support for my 36DDD and it will also help smooth my baby ponch out!

Are you doing TTD? If so I would recommend natural coloured underwear for that, because if your dress is going to become see through, white still shows up!

in there like swimwear....didn't even shift when i jumped in the pool.

i also did a ttd, and wore regular thong undies underneath. w/ my huge slip (which has to have a technical name w/ all it's crinolin, but idk what it is), you couldn't see a thing. i wasn't bothering with spanx or anything that would make me uncomfortable.

I'm going to have a strapless bra/corset, cause cups will not seal the deal for me. I'm also going to wear spanx cause my dress if more form fitting.

Oh, Chiquita, love La Senza. I don't live in Canada but I used to go to Vancouver ever week... and I love La Senza. I think its better than VS!

Hmmm... this has me thinking about under garments which I hadn't done before. For a strapless dress and big ole girls (DD)... can you do built in cups or would it be better to do a strapless? I would really prefer built-ins, but I worry about popping out during an inconvenient moment.

I wear a DD too and am not planning on wearing anything under my dress - the dress has boning in the top and it looked perfect with any cups - the seamstress and i agreed that adding cups would change the shape of the top. and no underwear - easy in, easy out wink.gif LOL!

My dress is really thin - just a single layer of satin with a lace overlay. I had two of my fittings with black undies and NOTHING showed, so my something blue will be a pair of pale blue nickers.

Cups are great if the top of your dress is snug - meaning strapless or halter or something along those lines. If it's loose and flowy it won't work. I actually wanted to wear a halter bra, but the back of the dress is so low, and the sides are cut away so much that I couldn't find anything to work. The seamstress just laughed and told me she'd sew in cups. They work GREAT. The girls stay where they are supposed to (I even jumped a bit just to be sure).

The slip issue will depend entirely on how your skirt is cut. If it's full, you'll probably be in a crinoline - a big puffy thing. If it's form fitting, you wont need anything.

Oh really? Did you come to Vancouver for work or pleasure? VS bought out La Senza now so I think they are similar with what you can/can't buy now.. heh

I wasn't going to wear a bra or anything, (I'm a DD) but had some fitting issues at the last miunte. She let the top out too much and I had to stuff, so I got the stick on Chicken Cutlets. They stick to your chest and have a front closure, so you can decide how much lift or cleavage you want.

I dyed my crinoline blue and had blue VS boy shorts.

I wasn't going to wear a slip but the seamstress said it helps fill the skirt out so she wouldn't have to hem as much and, if it will be windy, keeps the dress from blowing between your legs.

I think you can see all three in this super classy picture of me!
