Thanks so much you guys for your feedback on the Honeymoon Breakfast & Candlelight Dinner expierences. I know this will help so many future EDR brides including myself.

Everything sounds so delicious! Being that I'm such a finicky eater, I wonder if it would be ok to ask them to maybe omit certain sauces..on things. Is it possible to just have a plain omelet? Hey and the fact that you can pick now with the option of maybe changing your choices later is GREAT!

Timelsel--- Your pictures are amazing & you guys are the cutest! I notice that the Candlelight dinner takes place right on the beach..by what restaurant is this if you don't mind me asking? And can you pick your date & time for these?

It is right next to JoJo's and across from La Cabana pizza. During the day, they put out lounge chairs for your beach enjoyment, so you don't really notice it until the evening. You can pick the date and time, but once you get there, it's pretty tough to change it.

Thanks so much for that piece of advice Mandy.

I notice you were a May bride, which is kinda close to what my wedding date will be. What was the weather like out there during your stay. I keep hearing April is a windy month which kind of changes things with some of my planning. I wanted my hair down and I wanted to maybe try doing the program fans. Any advice, suggestions EDR brides out there?

I can chime in here about the fans as I made them for Mandy's wedding using ribbon and cymbidium ochids. They turned out great - and not a single person used them as it was so windy. I ended up with 5 or 6 of them stuffed into my bag while we were taking pictures on the beach as no one wanted to hold onto them and they would blow away if just left on the ground unattended. Also, they pick up the chairs and all the decor almost immediately after the ceremony, so nothing can be left on the chairs. The fans ended up being one of the costlier items I made and were the one thing I wish I hadn't done.

Like my mom said, it was very windy. I think she covered it on the fans. Not useful. I was VERY glad I had my hair up. I don't know how the other girls do it with a veil, either. Just the little tendrils of hair I had down were going crazy! You can kind of see here where my hair was blowing straight across:

And here, DH was holding it down for me:

Oh goody, this is what we will be eating in only 25 days!

We're not crazy of fondue, what other items were on the candle light dinner menu?

They let you change anything- at least at Kampani-- my DH is not really into anything "fancy"- so I had my "beautiful" fruit french toast and omelets :) --and he would just go in and ask if he could have "plain scrambled eggs with a side of bacon" -then he puts hot sauce (?!?!) on his eggs- so he asked for that and they brought him that- he was also able to order "plain hashbrowns with cheese" --- so he was basically able to order iHOP in Mexico- LOL. I was kinda embarrassed the first few mornings- but by the end of the week- they knew him and he didn't even have to order! :) The service there is just amazing.

I am not sure how much you can change up the breakfasts they bring you in your room-- we didn't think beforehand for that- but there was so much in the breakfast (they are HUGE) that he was able to "work with it"--- I loved it all- so it was no problem for me! :)

(We went to La Fondue several nights later hoping to have it again, but the one you order there only includes one of the meats - not all 3, plus the mushrooms and bread. Also it has a different combo of cheeses.) The candlelight fondue included steak, shrimp, chicken, mushrooms and tiny round rolls. The baked alaska was also outstanding. Something they don't tell you, there is a saxophone player that goes from table to table playing with the recorded background music and it was actually really nice.

Also, you can get that great French toast at Kampai for breakfast. Several people in our group had it every single morning. If you stay in the casitas, you can order it by room service, too.

Tim & I at the candlelight dinner. Notice the fabric that adds privacy and blocks the wind:

How romantic!

The dinner would be my choice over breakfast. It just sounds more romantic. Plus I can pass up a sax player in a looney tunes vest.

I 2nd the windy-ness!! it was very windy! -- but our wedding was a 4PM and it was hot- so the wind did help keep things comfortable...

I wore my hair half up and down-- but the part that was down was stiff as a rock -LOL... In this pictures you can see mine still is blowing and my mom and dad's is def blowing..

And here is one of the pictures with the girls-- I had a curl that wanted to stand straight up (nice!) but you can def tell by the other girls that is was windy- esp poor Jackie (the one on the far right-- her hair, in real life, doesn't look crazy like that-- i think she was on the end and got the worst of it!
