You could try something like "and remember, for those who can't make it, we'll be having an At home reception xx/xx/xxxx so you can celebrate with us when we get back!"

We wrote this in a letter "We know that with the distance we are travelling that not everyone may be able to attend and we completely understand if that is the case."

I have a letter on word, now if I can just figure out how to attach it!

I think you could post a mesage on your wedding website if you have one.

We just got ours in today (yay!). Along with a magnet, we are sending a notecard which says..."We know its a large distance and expense for most of you, so we'd certainly understand anyone's absence. But, we would love nothing more than to celebrate our big day with all of you in this incredibly beautiful place. We look forward to an amazing vacation with as many of you as possible. Hope to see you there! "
