I think you can do it. I wonder if your hotel room will have a microwave? You can bring a potato with you and cook it in your room and then just eat a salad if you go out to dinner. The soup you could bring in a cooler and then microwave when you want it.

I wasn't dieting before, but always watching...I've been yoyoing with the same 8 or so lbs for about 3 months so I am estatic that I'm past it...hard part is not putting them back on, which is why I'm going to continue this. I doubt I'll continue losing at this rate, but if I could lose 20-30 lbs in 2 or 3 weeks, I'll be so flippin excited LOL Maybe I should start to excersize insted of just a walk around the block lol

My jeans which are usually comfortable right out of the wash and loose the second day...are actually loose right out of the wash...a good and bad thing, since a)they're new b)I bought 4 pairs c) they weren't cheap LOL
No fries, I asked, lol! I have been yoyoing too the last couple of weeks between a couple of pounds and just having a hard time getting over the hump. but I think this will help, I've been so unmotivated to exercise so that doesn't help either.

That's great about your jeans!! I know I hate buying clothes because I always want to lose weight and I don't want to buy clothes that won't fit me, it's such a vicious cycle!!girl_werewolf.gif

I keep giving them my standard response, "I am getting married in 143 days. I have NO business looking at, smelling or standing by cinnamon rolls, cake and breakfast burritos"!

One of the guys said he was proud of me and gave me props for staying strong. I just want to cry ...........BOO HOO WAAAAAAAAAHHHH!! msncry.gif

I am going in that kitchen - armed with my soup and I am heading straight for the microwave and I'm not looking back. Wish me luck................
OMG...that is awful. You should be very proud of yourself for resisting. Stay strong. I know you can do it!

Stay strong you can do it!! I'm going to go get some soup in a minute too!

My daughter just walked up to me and shoved a cupcake under my nose, I almost died!

Well, I made it back to my desk unscathed by another offer of carrot cake with cream cheese icing.

Me and my big bowl of soup are happy together and no one shall come between us! I even called FI and he said - DON'T GIVE IN! - okay as I am writing this 2 MORE guys come in and ask if I wanted a breakfast burrito!

I gave them my standard response about 143 days till wedding and they say good luck. One guy goes on to tell me about a firefighter who did the cabbage soup diet for a year!! He ate it 3 times a day and lost a TON of weight! I was telling him about this diet and the different things you can eat, he was like that one sounds better - he said the cabbage stunk up the kitchen and the soup was SO bland.

I am excited for banannas tomorrow! You guys have such good ideas for variating the soup! Tonight I am going to add some milk and put in the blender to do a creamy soup with my potato and some grilled asparagus on the side. YUM! I can hardly wait!

the soup is definetly better when you add variations to it.

Last night I made a new pot and I'm just having my first bowl of it.

I didn't have all of the ingredients so this is what I did:

I used two small ff chicken broths, plus a ff beef broth

3 cans of diced tomatoes

3 can green beans

2 peppers

the lipton soup mix packet

I didn't have any carrots, thats why I did an extra tomato and an extra green bean, I also had some leftover brussel sprouts from last nights dinner, so I threw those in as well.

for spices this time I used garlic powder, salt, pepper, a litte bit of curry, and red pepper flakes.

I think the garlic and red pepper flakes gave it a nice different taste, vs. the worcestershire, red hot, and lots of curry in my first batch.

Has anyone tried to make it creamy yet? I'm scared!

I think we're goign to try to make it creamy tonight (I have a new pot on right now). I saw somewhere online where they said use skim milk and to make it thick use some powdered skim milk...I happen to have powdered skim milk in the house because it's an ingredient in one of the doggie cookie recipes I make (yes, occasionally I make homemade cookies for my furbabies lol)...so, I think that might be the plan tonight :)

I think in some ways it's easier because you don't have a lot of choice about what to eat. Those are usually the diets that work best for me because they're so restrictive, like atkins, I always did really well with atkins because my choices of what to eat were very limited.

I should go for a jog tonight.
