Copied comments from a tread:

at Michaels but I'm sure you could find them at wal-mart or any other craft or sewing store. here are a few pictures of the boutonniers. I used the same starfish as the chairs but spray painted them white (had to do many many coats before they were well covered) I used the same pins for the larger starfish for the chairs......

I just want to say thx to the person posted this attatchement
I'm not sure who is it.....I just copied and paste idea on my computer ..
As soon as I saw the boutonniers I fell in love w/ them....It shouldn't be that hard to make....I think
That's mine! Haha, this discussion was too funny seeing as it was going on about me without my noticing. So I got to the post above and started reading and I was like "wow, this person did just like me" (was especially surprised about the painting them white, because I had never seen anyone else do that) and then I open the attachment and they are mine, haha. Too funny. And then there is the picture of me (totally unrelated) on page 2 which also made me laugh.

But I'm glad I've been helpful.

All that info was in the replies of my review (link below)

No my dress is not a maggie sottero, it's a Mori Lee, but yes it is very similar to a Maggie Sottero one. I'll actually be selling it in a few weeks (after my AHR) if you are interested. It's a size 8 but has the lace-up corset in the back so it would be adjustable to probably like a size 10 or something. I normally wear a 7 or 9 for pants size and 7 for dresses so the fact that the dress is a 7/8 is pretty accurate I think (I know some people say their dress sizes were way off). Also the rouching to the side makes it very flattering if you don't have a perfect stomach! The dress is an older model I think, like 2006 I think I saw somewhere? But it is still available at some online stores, you'd probably have trouble finding it at an actual store. The style is 2820

As for making the starfish boutonniers....

I got my starfish at Micheals, the small oens come in packs of 3 for about 5 bucks. There is no other chain store in Canada that I found that sold starfish. Ordering them online is cheaper, but shipping to Canada was expensive. The downside is the 3 starfish are slightly different sizes. But my dad is about twice as big as my father in law, so I just gave my dad the bigger one! I would say they are approx 2-3 inches.

You can buy the clasps at Micheals, Wal-mart, pretty much anywhere.

They are SOOO easy, took about 2 minutes to make.

Most other people don't bother painting them white, they leave them the natural orange color. I like that too, I just tried this out for fun and thought it looked good so I kept with it.

yikes! $30 a piece! i would definitely say it is a DIY type of boutonniere. i would think it would be fairly simple if you could find the right materials.
