Serrated BBQ Spatula

Ever see those really neat BBQ Spatulas....they're serraged on the side.

Well, my parents went to AC a few weeks ago, and brought back a really nice BBQ set an gave it to us...it has one of those nifty spatulas.

Well, we had a BBQ Saturday...While trying to seperate frozen burgers using the spatula, it slipped...remember that serrated side I mentioned...well, I won't be graphic, but you can image what it did to my thumb.

I probably needed stitches, but a) I don't have health insurance and it woulda ruined/ended the bbq. So FI and I cleaned it out with peroxide and applied bandaids in an X to make a "butterfly". I never realized just how much I use my left thumb.

My point is...be REALLY careful with those spatulas!!! They are sharp and dangerous!!!!!!

Ooohh so sorry you hurt yourself. Ouch!!! I know exactly the spatulas you mean. We were going to get the, so glad we didn't. I'm so clumsy, i can only imagine what could happen if i had one.
