and the only one that i recommend to people is the GoSmile system. you can get it at sephora. it's a bit pricey, but nowhere near as pricey as pro whitening (i spent about $120 for the starter kit, the refill ampoules are about $29)

sephora is running a special right now on it for $99 Sephora: GoSMILE Summer Smile Kit ($140 Value): Tooth Care

i have extremely extremely sensitive teeth, and this is the only OTC whitener system that doesnt kill me. i only get sensitive after like the 5th day. feel free to ask me questions - im super busy at work today but will be in and out of the forum when i get some free moments.
my pro kit (daywhite) was only $175 for the molds & 6 things of bleach. I bought it about 7 years ago though. Maybe they are more now. I just buy more bleach on ebay when it expires. I don't do it very often because I have a lot of sensitivity. Use the sensitive toothpaste, it helps.

I can bleach a couple times a month & be happy with the results.

i've used the kind you get from the dentist, the fitted trays you squirt the syringe full of the bleach stuff into, and i always had trouble with sensitivity. i have also used the strips, and all different kinds have worked for me, i usually dont have to use more than a few days worth before seeing results :)

the strips were not around when i bought my trays. this close to your wedding I'd say go with the strips but use them sparingly. if your teeth are sensitive one day don't use them the next. i used mine too much at first & I was in so much pain. it was like my nerves were on end like someone was scratching a chalk board non-stop in my head.

and get the sensitive toothpaste. crest sensitive is my favorite.

I also use the Crest strips. I swallow and haven't died yet lol. I can only use about half the box as well because my teeth get so white. It is kind of annoying having to place them on your teeth and the taste is nasty to me. Other than that they are great.

I'm using crest whitestrips premium plus right now. I just started them on Monday and am doing the 10 day program. I've used whitestrips before and always had really good luck. My teeth are already really white, but these tend to brighten them up and remove any stains from coffee and wine. Yes...my teeth are a bit sensitive, but it's really not that bad. Plus...an added bonus, I put them on after dinner time and it keeps me from eating more crap! They are like little diet strips :)

the "don't swallow" rule is probably because of the hydrogen peroxide. it's really damaging to cells. I think the best is just to use it a little. I imagine their are some bleach-a-holics like with anything that might be causing damage. You can also get a chemical burn from too much hydrogen peroxide.

I stress my e. coli out with hydrogen peroxide.

we only use sensodyne toothpaste in our house because we both have sensitive teeth. my GoSmile kit came with two travel size tubes of super-sensitive toothpaste, which i also really really like.

I use all kinds of OTC teeth whiteners. I have used the crest white strips before and had positive results but I usually use Rembrandt's version. I like that they really stick to you teeth better and they are a little gummy so I really press them into all the crevices to make sure it's hitting the in between spots too.

I also use whitening toothpast all the time. My teeth only have minor sensitivity issues when I'm using the strips but it generally goes away quickly. My teeth get REALLY white too!
