Ochi Rios Night Life

Hey all! Jay and I are headed to ROR in 3 weeks for a much needed vacation. Does anyone have any suggestions for night life in town? I just want to sit and listen to some good Reggae and get some local flavor. Not really into a crowded dance club. I would love to find a sound system party too.

 

Oh and has anyone gone to Evitas for dinner? We may be going there for our annniversary dinner.

Karen I don't know the name of the places I went but I found lot's to do in O R at nite. Just wander into town and you will have a good time. I asked the resort staff for ideas for night life off resort and it was easy from there.

On Sunday nights there is a cool beach/dance party on a beach to the west of ROR...it's not resort affiliated but ask any local and they'll give you the skinny. We were invited by our driver but were too...ummm...busy to make it

Don't you have that when a high intensity game of Trivial Pursuit gets in the way of plans?

Yes, that's it! We were embroiled in a passionate game of smarts...or was it a smart game of passion? Or were we just feeling too irie and forgot?

BTW I kick ass at Trivial Pursuit so when we meet bring it on Lambert!

To further hijack my wife's thread....I have a great trivial pursuit story for you. Karen is probably laughing already..

When we were still in the relatively early part of our dating, we decided to have a trivial pursuit night at my house with just the two of us. Of course we were both talking a lot of shit and predicting a landslide victory.

Well, we played, and somehow I managed to win. I got all proud and pointed to the front of the box. I said "See that....Genius edition....just like me...a genius".

Karen broke out laughing immediately. I had no idea what was so goddam funny. Hell, I just won the contest of the mind. Who was she to be laughing. She pointed to the box and particulary to the word genius. Only it wasn't genius. It was GENUS edition. "Yup, you're a real genus sweetie".

I still cant live that one down.

I would suggest just asking the bartenders where to go. They told us about lots of places to go- sorry i don't remember the names of any of the places. And there is always Margarittaville
