Brownsville accident...

I forgot to address one more thing...

The comment I made "Calling for a public hanging". What I meant by that was people have a tendency to make comments when we are guilty of doing the same thing ourselves, maybe not the same degree but we've all been there or know someone who has been there.

I myself am guilt of driving after having a drink or two, and had I been pulled over I would have been over the legal limit. And even worse had I hit someone or hurt someone even after having had a drink I would be in an even worse situation and looking at jail time. I am just suggesting that we this story make everyone take a look at there own lives and make an impact..

(I'm not saying you're all guilty of drinking and driving like this, but drinking and driving is drinking and driving... and it's not just something bar flys, alcoholics, bums and deadbeats do, anyone who makes the choice to drive while under the influence takes this chance when they make that choice... Just some food for thought.)

Wow, that picture is very distrubing. I am amazed that only one person was killed.

Regarding drinking and driving, I too am guilty of it, especially when I was in college. Lord, I am so lucky to be alive and well today. I have had friends get DUI's in the past and honestly I have no remorse for them. I no longer have a couple and drive, I am too scared.

At this point in my life I realize how fragile life is and how easily a stupid mistake can become tragic.

They never are... that's why they do blood tests! Tim BAC (blood alcohol) was WAAAAY off from his breathalyzer. Had it gone by what he blew he would be in jail.

There was a bar in downtown Philadelphia that used to have girls walk around with them and they would charge you to blow into it.... it was supposed to be fun I guess.

Tim comes from a family of Cops of which most are Philadelphia officers and a few state troopers, needless to say we've heard that all those silly ones you can buy are even as accurate as the ones the police departments use.

Me too Yari! I barely even drink anymore when we go out because I know someone is going to have to drive everyone home and I'd rather not drink to make sure that we get home safely. I think about the shit we did when we were younger and I can't believe I still here!

i barely go out for this reason. mike stopped drinking 4 years ago so he is always my DD. If I go out without him he will often drop me off & pick me up. If I'm driving I'll have a drink or two early in the night & then eat & drink lots of water. I have thought by this point I'd be under the legal limit. Isn't it a drink an hour to clear your system? I try to follow those guidelines plus some extra to be safe. So if I have 1 beer after work at a happy hour, I drink a bottle of water & wait an hour before driving home. I should recheck the guidelines. usually we walk some where for dinner & drive home much later.

Yeah.... if I don't feel like going out and Tim does I'll drop him off and pick him up later too. I with you on this... it's really not worth it. I'll drink if we are walking to the bar or we taking a cab or have some sort of ride that isn't at the bar with us. What sucks about where our house is that there really isn't a bar in walking distance but after all maybe that's a good thing... Drinking out gets too expensive....
