One of my best friends just told me that she can't come to wedding

One of my dearest friends had to break it to me tonight that she & her husband will most likely not be able to afford to come to Hawaii anymore. Their dog has been ill, several home issues have come up, and to top it off, they bought their tickets on ATA with their debit card, so they are still trying to get thier money back from that! She started crying & felt so bad for me. Can you believe that? I'm the one who's having people spend tons of money to come to the wedding & she thinks she's letting me down. She made me cry. I love her so much. It kills me that she feels bad.

You have a great friend! She called and let you know that how sad she is that she won't be there on your wedding day. I am sure this was a tough decision for her and her husband.

Ohhh, Im sorry to hear that. Sounds like you have a pretty amazing friend there. And its obvious that she feels the same about you. Its too bad she cant make it, but sounds like she is very sorry.

I know. She's the best. I'll miss having her there so much, but I told her that I don't want her to shed any more tears over it. If circumstances were different, she'd be there, but life happens. I just wish she wouldn't feel so bad about it. I just want to hug her all night & make it better.

I totally understand. One of my good friends and BM's called me crying cause she was pregnant a month ago. I thought she was unhappy that she was pregnant the way she was crying. In fact she thought she was letting me down. I felt so bad, cause I was so happy for her that she was preggers. I think it brought us even closer than we were.

awe, I know how that feels; my best friend can't come either. I feel so bad when she gets upset about it because I totally understand. It is one of the hard things about having a DW when people you know want to be there can't. HUGS

Ahh I am so sorry to hear that.

That is too bad she can't be there physically, but you know that she will be there in your heart. The fact that she is so upset about not being able to go just shows how great of a friend she is too. Don't ever let that friend get away!

That sucks! But its so sweet that you understand. I feel bad for her. I bet she could use the vacation. I hope her dog gets better.
