Yeah I strongly dislike the man too!
Ann no clue where to get a good deal. Check this site out Minnesota Map Gas Prices - Find the Lowest Minnesota Gas Prices on a Map
just found it.
I have driven more this week than I have over the past month so that is the only reason I know the price.

I guess we all just have to stop taking quick trips here and there and really start making good decisions when we head out.

my aunt is a missionary in ecuador, she's lived there for almost 30 years. anyways, a couple she is friends with lives there too, and their son who works for exxon (not like a gas station attendant, but some kind of exec.) called them and put them in a panic this weekend, they called her, and she proceeded to contact everyone she knows in the states to repeat what he apparently said, she was almost hyperventillating she was so freaked out about it for some reason?

i guess he told them that he wasn't allowed to go into details but that they needed to rush out and fill their tanks asap before next weekend. all he would say is that the price is about to jump to over $5 a gallon and that it has something to do with why we are getting that tax bonus thing earlier than planned.

so, like i said, i don't know how much of that i believe, but i can say that if everyone rushes out to fill their tanks this week in a mad panic, you can bet for damn sure the price is gonna go up (supply and demand). we told her to calm down about it, and to quit telling people to rush out and get gas! but, if it does happen, you can thank me for the notice either way wink.gif now go fill up! (J/K!)
Abbey one of my close friends lives and is from El Salvador. She works for Exxon and actually wrote me a letter the other day telling me the same thing. She said there was a company memo going around. She is a mechanical engineer and it seemed like she knew what she was talking about. She didn't say that it was due to the rebate from the government she just said to me that it's going to go up again. Uggh I really hope this is not true and we are both wrong.

The way I see it if it does go up there is really nothing we can do. People will still need to drive and we are still going to buy gas whether we like it or not. Ugggh.

Hilary Clinton wants a tax break from Memorial Day to Labor Day so hopefully that will pass. Even if its just for those couple of months its got to be some relief. John McCain supports this too but Barack Obama doesn't. Apparently he doesn't feel that it will make a difference.
