Ever meet someone famous?

These stories are awesome and I can't believe my husband didn't tell me about his shopping spree with MCA.

I dated this guy once who was a radio DJ and of course he met and interviewed a bunch of people. He told me that before his interview with Jon Bon Jovi, the PR person told him he was to address Mr. Bon Jovi as "the superstar Jon Bon Jovi". lol. And he could figure out what Ozzy Osbourne was saying to him during an interview.

Oh and thanks to Jay I met the lead singers of Squirrel Nut Zippers. I love love love that band.

FUN question! This is so great to see who everyone has met!

My very first encounter with a celebrity was back in the days of Blossom! Whoaaa, it was Joey Lawerance! Since he a local, we were shopping on Black Friday and he was shopping with his family and my mom went up to his and said "my daughter thinks you look like Joey from Blossom, can I take your picture with her?" I was in HEAVEN!!! 14 year old HEAVEN!

Then on my birthday in !996 we were waiting in line at the movie theater and John Popper (lead singer of Blues Traveler) was standing line behind us! He was SUPER tall and SUPER nice!

Then my next encounter was in college during a photoshoot that I assisted in for Carney Wilson and Wendy Wilson, right after her surgery. They were really nice! A little demanding but nice!

Then the following year in college we were in NYC and I saw Diana Ross.....now I NEVER freak when I see famous people......But I flipped OUT! I was screaming.....lol!

One of my good friends' boyfriend is Jimmy Pop the lead singer to the Bloodhound Gang, so we a celebrity friend! He's ridiculously nice and not nearly as obnoxious as he appears on Bam's show! He's a true sweetheart.....she might be on here soon because hopefully they will be getting married soon!!!!

I might have met some others but I just can't think of them right now....maybe if I do I'll add them later.

At a summer concert here in Timmins I met Sam Roberts. He's pretty cool & easy to talk to, but is sooo much shorter & scruffier looking than you'd think! He was chilling at the side of the VIP area & nobody seemed to recognise him so I just walked over & said "hey!" We ended up talking for like half an hour, which was cool, but he was kind of a dick to other people. One girl walked over & said hi to him & said she had always wanted to meet him & blah blah & he just looked her up & down & then turned back to me & kept talking. I felt sooooo bad for her! Mat was trying not to get jealous, but you could see him look over at us every 30 seconds. And he was all puffed up to look tough, but Mat's 6'4 & I'd guess Sam Roberts was maybe 5'7 so he didn't have to try to look tough! lol

That same day I met Treble Charger. Just said hey. But my friend chilled with them on their tour bus & drank beer & played Nintendo. Pretty sweet!

I've met a bunch of hockey players, but to be honest I didn't recognise them at the time. Steve Sullivan (hockey player) lives here in Timmins, so I've said hi to him at the golf course a few times & apparantly he was with like 4 NHLers that I didn't recoginze one time. Felt pretty stupid afterwards after reading about it in the paper!! lol (PS my sister was a server at the golf course & he's a SUPER cheap tipper wink.gif)

OH and from working at Revenue Canada, I've handled some famous people's tax returns, but there's no way in hell I'm telling anybody who they were or any details of their taxes!!! It was funny because I kept reading this one name over & over again & couldn't figure out why it was familiar... so I passed it to my co-worker who broke out in a huge grin. Then I figured it out! lol

Wow exciting stories.

I was a nanny for NBA Mav player Sean Bradley. Sad to say however their moral work ethics were horrendous and I quit shortly thereafter.

I also won backstage passes and met all the members of the All-American Rejects with my niece. I then met Rihanna when she did a free concert at the mall in my town. I was going to the bathroom in JCPenny and she was headed to the office and then I went back after the concert to see her again. Hhahah.

Oh and my dad works with the Mother of the lead singer in Heartland who sings the song "I loved her first".

I think thats it.

Since FI was a college football player, I know & have met quite a few guys in the NFL. I told FI to invite them all to the wedding--I know they could afford it! LOL

I have a friend who is a Jockey Agent so I've met quite a few famous jockies. That's kind of a big deal around here! I know they are jockies, but still...Tiny little men. We went bar hopping with one and he said, I think your boob is as big as my head.

The Kentucky Derby is this weekend so maybe I'll have some celebrity sightings to pass along! I'll probably feed quite a few of them!
