what to write: thank you

as a thank you to our parents, dh and i bought them each an extra copy of our wedding album, which is more like a coffee table book than an album. we want to put a hand-written thank you inside the book, but we're having a very difficult time figuring out what to write. i don't want it to be like, "thanks for doing it so we could be born" kinda thing...

anyone have any ideas? i'm hoping to get enough feedback to piece a whole paragraph together.

Maybe you could write the one to his parents and he could write the one to yours. It could be something like...

I never thought I would find someone to complete my life the way DH does. I don't know how to thank you for raising the man of my dreams, with all the aspects I wanted and needed in a partner. I am so happy to have the two of you included in the package as well. Thanks for your love and support through all of this and I hope that you truely know how excited I am to spend the rest of my life with DH.

Kat, that's a great idea, I love it! Better then anything i was going to say anyway.

We are doing something kinda similar- my parents are celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary in June- so I'm going to write how I hope me and DH will be as happy as they have been and how much I appreciate them showing me first-hand what true love is....Their life example is one I hope to follow.. --obviously, I don't have it all down--- but something to that extent!
