Am I able to put seashells on invitations and mail them through the normal post? I want to put little star fish, about 1/2 inch in size on my invitations but I am hesititant against this considering that they might be crushed and make my cards look horrible.

I don't want to put my invitations in different types of envelopes though.

Any thoughts? Would wrapping them in tissue paper help?smile124.gif

Here's an idea of something I just did in a set of invites for someone- you can get round shells that are flat (they're actually not even real shells, but look like it). They mail fine and still give a "shell" effect...

I love this idea. How did you wrap the raffia? Is it tied in the back? Where did you find shells?

thanks!
