Bridesmaid dresses: discount internet outlets?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone out there used any of these sites (ie RK Bridal.com, Best Bridal Prices.com etc.)to purchase their bridesmaid dresses? Do you just place an order based on size or do you send in measurements? Did the dresses end up being the same as what is found in boutiques? Am I silly/naive to consider trying one of these places?

I just received a BM dress from TJ formal yesterday. It took about 9 weeks to get it, but they estimated 11. It was Bill Levkoff. So I looked up on his website how the measurements work. From that it said I needed an 8. I went to a bridal store & tried on some Bill Levkoff dresses in 6, 8 & 10. The 8s fit. So I felt comfortable orderering the dress. There wasn't a place in town that had my same dress for me to try that on. It fits perfect. I also saved over $100.

If you google TJ formal coupon you can find a 10% off coupon.

Thanks Morgan! This is EXACTLY the type of feedback I was looking for! I am purchasing by BM's dresses (6 of them) and I am looking for ways to cut back costs. Interestingly, Ihave my eye on Bill Levkoff as well. I also thought that the dresses on these might have been "knock offs" so your response is VERY helpful.

definitly not knockoffs. I think they keep costs down because they don't have the overhead a bridal salon would. usually a bridal salon is in a nice building with sales people that make commission. I felt guilty going into a salon to try on the dresses. But, they were so rude to me that I was happy I wasn't going to give them any money. I couldn't understand why they were so rude to me at first. Then I realized it's because I was looking at BM dresses not wedding gowns. If they are working on commission, they'd prefer to help a bride. When i asked for help they asked if the bride was coming too. She lives in a different state. They wouldn't even measure me.

wow! it does look to good to be true, but exactly what i've been looking for lol I like those prices :)

I ordered MY wedding dress from a website kind of like this so I okay with taking risks. I like that this site atleast shows the brand name pics. makes me think that they at least sending similar or at least a knock off just like the name brand.
