oh gosh, the possibilities are endless!

You could do jute or raffia, a bellyband of printed paper, something with your monogram; something beaded- I have some gorgeous flat shells I'm using on invitations for someone right now.

Just go spend some time walking around one of those craft stores (JoAnn's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby)... look at the scrapbook paper, look at the ribbon, look at the beads the wire, etc. Think of what you want your "theme" to be and then look for things that fit into that theme.

Great post! I'm wondering the same thing about mine. It seems like everything I think of has been done a million times - but then a friend reminded me that almost every idea is new to your guests since they don't spend all day on wedding forums. wink.gif

Not to sidetrack but...

How are you mailing the ones with flat shells? I'm trying to do sand dollars but can't figure out a way to mail them without them breaking. I had thought of boxed invites but I can't find boxes with a small enough width to mail.
