The Invitations are in the mail!

Yay Christa!!! those are so pretty, I can't wait till ur wedding and pics pics pics !!! WOOHOOO!!!

I just wanted to share that I received my first 2 RSVP's yesterday!! And they were both YES responses! Yayay!! I've also gotten great feedback on the invites. Two of my friends called to ask me where I had them done. When I told them I did them myself they were AMAZED!! Yeah, it feels good to be done, but it's really fun to hear everyone's reaction to my hard work...I'm getting really excited.

I thinking getting the RSVP's is the funnest part! But the waiting would drive me crazy. But it is so much fun when you get "yes" responses.

How did you do these? They are SO fantatic!

 

On anotehr note, what did you write on your "Welcome Dinner" insert? Did you put in a separate reply card or did you add a line to your regular RSVP?

Thanks Kash, very sweet of you to say! I put these together with materials from cardsandpockets.com and some wonderful advice from Karla (she did similar invites), lots of trips to the craft store & a minor melt down recovered by some help from my mom. Honestly, I worked on them for a few hours for 4 consecutive weekends! I had a lot of learnings, so if you are interested, definitely pm me & I can save you some time & heart ache!

Regarding my Welcome Dinner insert, I basically wrote where, when, basic directions & that my mom is hosting it. My RSVP card included a line for the welcome dinner & a line for the wedding day. It worked out really well.

Oh, you are too kind. Yep, I made them myself. I wish I had taken a pic of the final product - I tied a sheer ribbon around the outside of the invite, it looked really nice. Of course I'm completely out of that ribbon, so I can't re-create it. Definitely a lesson learned: when you think you've bought more than enough supplies (adhesive, ribbon), buy one more, cuz it's never enough!!
