After much stress, I finally got the day & time that I wanted!! My schedule was a bit tight b/c we had to be in Mexico 3 days before our ceremony but me & my fiance decided to leave a week before our guests arrive so we had more choices for our wedding day. I can't believe I have to wait 9.5 months...I'm too excited!!

Thanks! I can't wait for all the fun stuff now!!

Let me know when you choose a location, the Mayan Riviera is a beautiful place. Me & my fiance can't wait to go back. There's so much to do there...

Oh RIUBride

Congratulations on getting your date set!!!! What is the date?? I'm also a fellow RIU October bride. I was just in Toronto and Oakville this summer for a vacation and my cousins wedding and I fell in love and wanted to move there....seriously. Maybe we should switch cities for a few weeks!!! haha.

glad to hear all is well and that we can start planning our weddings and comparing notes since we are both Canadian-ers and October brides! Good Luck and Congrats again!

I am planning on getting married in Cabo at the Riu Palace in June of next year. Just wondering roughly what the prices are. And which package did you go with? If you did go with a package. I was looking at the packages and noticed that in the cheapest package it included the reception but when I looked at the Royal Package and Caprice Package that there was nothing regarding a reception. Just wondering if that is additional or included. Does the Riu do the bonfire?

It won't be so bad having another wedding on your day. The way I look at it is hotels like these usually do anywhere from one to seven weddings a day. So consider yourself lucky that there is only one other. elefant.gif

Kim, that's hilarious! I can't believe you forgot your wedding month. That is somthing I would do too!!
I think it would be so fun to switch cities for a few weeks (or a week). I could use a vacationshots.gif

So far, I've only picked my date & time. We chose to get married @ 4 or 4:30(i don't remember?) in the gazebo and i hope to have a beach reception. We chose the Royal package. Have you done any more planning w/the WC?

All the packages include a reception at one of the resturants. However if you want a privet party this costs and additional 500 USD. If you are have a DJ this is considered a privet party. Also even though its AI to have an open bar at the privet party is 10 per person. They have a bonfire, but of course its extra. I think 500 USD. I got the middle package for my wedding, but hired an outside photographer

Hope this helps.
