Scuba!!!

Hey ladies! Sam and I have always wanted to get Scuba certified, so we decided to do it during our honeymoon! It was a fantastic experience, and a great hobby to start together We bought the PADI books in the states and read them before going down... that let us complete the course over 3 half days. During the course, we got to do 4 open water dives, and for the bargain basement price of $350/pp it was waaaaay cheaper than getting our certification in Philly. For anyone interested in Scuba in the Negril area, we went to SUNDIVERS NEGRIL JAMAICA - they were really fantastic!

Yay Jenn!!! I was certified in college and I hardly dive anymore, but I love it and do it every chance I get. Well every chance I get where the water is above 70 degrees, anyway!

We are going to get certified here before we leave. Our local YMCA does the course for $200, $150 if you are a member!

I was cert in high school... it is the coolest feeling when you are neutrally bouyant (sp) it's like you are floating! I love scuba!

It was a lot of fun!!! That's a great price, btw! You'll still have to do the open water dives, but we were quoted $700/pp in Philly! That plus still needing to do the open water was more than we could afford. We did buy masks, snorkels and wet suits before going though. I was surprised to need the wetsuit, but at 60 feet, it was cold! And the surface water temp was 85 degrees!

we love, love, love snorkeling so we really should get certified! It seems like so much fun!

That's awesome. FI and I were hoping to do it before we left but don't think we'll have time. Now maybe we'll do it while were down there! :-)

Great to know! We were thinking of Keys trip this year, so we just may have to do that!
