A New Yorker's review of Boston...

I forgot to mention earlier about the pizza. I am very picky about pizza, I've never had NY pizza, but there are certain places here that I love the pizza.

Actually, DH's father owns a pizza shop, lol, and his pizza is one of my top choices!

so what's so different about NY pizza?

Ouch! But you gotta support your state's team even if you don't like the city you were raised in, right? Maybe not...lol

Glad you enjoyed yourself! Yeah our bars or shall I say Bahs close early and there are no diners, but there are sausage kings on the street corners for a late night bite. And there are some 4am sub-shops- you just have to know about them! It's like an adventure to get to after a late night of drinking!

And the Red Sox ain't so bad!!!! It's kinda cute everyone supports the team.

nah... well atleast we don't! haha... fi couldn't wait to get out of ny so no real point in him being a yankees fan. and i'm from philly but could care less about the phillies. i think there needs to be something more about a team that grabs you, besides proximity, ya know?

My family is from NYC. I lived in NYC for awhile. Absolutely LOVE it.

But I also looooooove Boston. We want to take a trip there soon. DH is a HUGE RedSox fan and HATES the Yankees (who of course my family loves). But to be fair, he was born in Chicago (another city I love) and down here is Phillies territory anyway.

Really, I just love major cities in general. I love the city life! I have a friend who lives in Boston, and normally I think Boston accents are so unattractive, but I think it's totally hot when she says "Cah" and "Bah" and whatever else with her little accent. I could listen to her all day!

Having lived in Schenectady (I am impressed that you can spell it!) before, I can almost see his point. That city is a dump. But still, you gotta support the home team.

Up here in the Albany area, there are a lot of Boston fans for whatever reason. Possibly because we are close to MA. I dunno. All I know is that shit doesn't fly downstate. You would catch hell for being a Mets fan, nevermind being a cohort of the enemy.

Glenda, watch Gone Baby Gone- those accents are real Boston accents (except for Bea and her husband). I grew up here but I don't have too much of an accent unless I've had a few drinks. Then it gets wicked bad. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed our city. And next time, all of the diners are out here in "Woostah". There are a handful that are open 24 hours so you could get your Irish Nachos.
