So What do you do for a living?

I am a Sales Manager at an art gallery here in Dallas - www.ReflectionFineArt.com

It's a lot of fun - I've been selling art at various art galleries since I was 17. After 7+ years it feels like I'm just now really getting into the swing of things (hence the recent promotion to Sales Manager! YEAH!). Also I've been really lucky to work with some AMAZING artists (there are some really crazy/stuck up ones out there...lol). We recently had a show for Henri Matisse's grandson Pierre. He was so funny. At 80-something still very handsome. He spoke in a French accent and loved to curse. LOL We went out to dinner with him one night and he told us all these surreal stories about growing up with people like Picasso. Very interesting man. He's also a talented artist himself.

Looks like I've gone on a bit of a rant here but yeah, I love what I do!

I actually work in a firehouse where the firefighters are on duty. It is an interesting job to say the least!
I'm an executive asssitant too. I think it's the nature of the job to know it all! :)

My job has changed since the last time we did this....

My official title is "Cost Analyst." I work for a company that manufactures architectural panels. The funny thing is I am not currently analyzing any costs! I am teaching all of our system users how to utilize the powerful tools our MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system has to offer....so one day soon we can start actually costing things :)

It's interesting. I am inquisitive by nature, so the job of figuring out how the system is supposed to work vs. how it is utilized & bridging the gap in fun :)

(short version: I'm an accounting dork)

I used to be a financial advisor (consultant) for corporations in distress or bankruptcy. Loved it, but the travel - 4.5 years on the road, meaning I spent 4-5 nights a week in hotels.

That got a bit old, so when my firm went thru a re-alignment of practices a year or so ago, I took on a resource management role - meaning I assemble the teams we send to our clients, make sure people are developing professionally and like that. It's not the same level of challenge as being a consultant, but I like it!
