Cabo Azul!

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had a wedding at Cabo Azul? I think it is newer and it is part of where I can choose if we use our parent's time shares. The other resorts that are part of the time share exchane that we seem interested in are Cabo Villas Beach Resort, Hacienda Encantada, Villa del Arco, Casa Dorada at Medano Beach, and Playa del Sol Los Cabos. Does anybody know anything about these places or have gotten married at any of these places? We are not ruling out other all-inclusives. We just can't decide wether to use the time shares and enjoy what Cabo has to offer for food and entertainment, or do the all-inclusive and spend most of our time on the resort. Any recommendations or comment? Help!

Sergio got back to me in less than 24 hours with a request for more specific dates. I haven't heard back yet but am seriously considering this place. The rooms are amazing, the restaurants seem good. Do you all know if you can swim in the beach there? That is a must for us!! The man I spoke to said yes, but added that a 12 year old who doesn't swim much probably shouldn't but adults would be fine. What does that mean??

It means there's a strong undertow (current) in the ocean and if you aren't a strong swimmer you shouldn't go out. Be sure people know to swim parallel to the shore if they get caught in an undercurrent until they're no longer in it before trying to swim back.. otherwise they'll just get tired trying. That's why prefer the swim up bar in the pool. :)

... Yes, the beach at Cabo Azul is really great. First of all... it's HUGE AND FLAT! It's on a stretch in San Jose that is NEVER busy with people, vendors, ets. So... if you want crazy beach party action this is not the place for you!

As Far as the surf goes please take note... NONE of the beaches in San Jose/Cabo are super great swimming beaches. This is not Hawaii or the Carabbean. I would NEVER let my 11 year old swim on a cabo beach without keeping an eye out...

I am actually going down there this weekend to check it out for a November wedding. I'll let you all know how it goes. I hear its gorgeous and I have been chatting with Sergio and he has been great and very proactive so far. It is really reassuring to work with someone that knows what they are talking about as well as what us crazy brides really want!!!

I was considering St Thomas originally since I am from the NY area and flights are totally annoying to get to Cabo. I think Cabo is a great destination and beautiful weather that you cannot beat!

If anyone has any opinions or ideas, please let me know!!!!!!!
