My fiancee and I are tying the know on April 11, 2008 at the El Dorado Royale. We are having a hard time deciding on the music for each of the following events: Ceremony, Cocktail Reception, Dinner/Dance. Does anyone have any tips? I have been at the resort in 2007 for a weekend and fell in love with the place. My wedding coordinator is Valeria.

Welcome! I won't be at EDR in April, but I'll be there in May for our wedding!

I really wanted to get a marachi band, but I just could not find a good time to have them. We are doing the wedding at 4, and then a private dinner/dance event at the Health bar and I just plan on taking my ipod with our own selection of music.

Let me know if you have any other questions!! There are also alot of great threads about EDR on the forum already.

Hello and Welcome! And I'm happy to hear that there's another April 2008 EDR bride! I'll be getting married there at the end of April. We're going to have the mariachi band play at our Mexican cocktail party welcome reception and then just bring CDs to play songs for our private function after dinner. We'll also bring a CD w/ music for the ceremony, as well.

We used Sonom Tharpa for our Ceremony, Category Music - List of products - Welcome, Guest Weddings in Cancun & Riviera Maya
They are under the classic, then Sonom Tharpa Duo, and then select their songs to listen to. I loved them!
Then we used our ipod for the cocktail reception, which worked out great. Alls we needed to bring was the ipod, and they had the connection, and we rented the speakers!
