It is cold at night this time of the year!!!! No one told me this except my coordinator and I really did not believe her so I didn't warn any of my guests. During the day it is gorgeous! Mid to high 80's.

 

But at night it got down to low 60's high 50's!!! So warn people to bring pashminas or light jackets! Especially if you are wearing strapless gowns.

I visited in May and stayed at PBSB and it was like that there as well. THe breeze was a bit much to handle but I reasoned that it was because we were in the mountain area and it's on the Pacific side.

 

Fi enjoyed the breeze/sometimes major gusts but I was unpleasantly cold.

All brides beware... most establishments will offer a blanket.

i think it is a good idea to bring cardigans/wraps, no matter what time of year..i posted it in my travel tips section of my website that it can get chilly at night.

Men: pack pair of pants in case the dress code is enforced at the nicer resort restaurants.

 

Women: pack a cardigan because it can get breezy at night time.

 

Timeshare Vendors: they are very aggressive. Do not make eye contact with them or you may be forced to sit in a 4 hours time-share seminar. They are all over mexico and try to intercept you at the airport, right after you go through the security gates. They will also "welcome" you when you get to the resort and try to weasel you into going to a seminar. If you say you are not married, they will usually leave you alone.

 

The beds are notoriously hard in Mexico. if you are sensitive to hard beds, try to request a mattress pad when you check in.

 

The lounge chairs around the pool get taken early (like by 8:30am!). If you want a chair, it might be a good idea to throw a towel and magazine on the chair before heading to breakfast. It will be easier finding a chaise lounge at the smaller, quieter pool.

 

The resort is filled to capacity for Memorial Day weekend. It is recommended that you make reservations at the nicer restaurants. Here is information and descriptions of restaurants in the resort, you may want to make reservations when you check in.

Hello- I am new around here...and this is a very good point... I was actually looking at pashminas last night and planning to order special tags to have sewn in them with our names- location - and date as gifts for the females attending our wedding... thank goodness there are only a few... if the list grows too large I will scale down to the bridal party and moms.

That is sooo cheap - I wonder what the cost would be in the garmet district in LA.

They are very cheap in L.A. My mom buys them all the time. And you know they're even cheaper when you buy them by the dozen.
