Dreams Cabo Ultimate Package

Recommended Posts

I hope I am not being redundant. We still have not chosen a place but are leaning towards Dreams. It is my understand that with the Ultimate package it includes the dinner reception for up to 20 people with extra charges pp over that? Tell me if I am wrong please. I was reading an old post today all about bringing your IPOD for a reception. Would I be able to do this with the Ultimate package and have dancing after dinner or is there additional charges for this? Also, what were people charged for the colored linens and bows for the chairs? I know that prices will change by June 09, but just a rough idea anyhow would be nice. Another question. I was reading some old posts about the legal ceremony being in spanish. If I were to go to city hall in the States and get "legally married" prior to going to Cabo would the minister be able to do the ceremony in English? Sorry for all the questions. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks - Terri

I am not sure about this since I am not doing the package just the per person charge for the ceremony & Reception, sorry!

I was reading an old post today all about bringing your IPOD for a reception. Would I be able to do this with the Ultimate package and have dancing after dinner or is there additional charges for this? I am bringing my ipod and they are charging me $150 for the night to have speakers & a mic...don't know if that is included in your package or not?

Also, what were people charged for the colored linens and bows for the chairs? The chair ties are $1 for me....2007 prices.I know that prices will change by June 09, but just a rough idea anyhow would be nice. Another question. I was reading some old posts about the legal ceremony being in spanish. If I were to go to city hall in the States and get "legally married" prior to going to Cabo would the minister be able to do the ceremony in English? We are having our legal ceremony here in Nevada and then having a symbolic ceremony there, if you do it this way then the ceremony is in English. If you have a legal ceremony in Cabo then it will be in Spanish and the WC usually translates it for you. Sorry for all the questions. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks - Terri

I hope these answered a few of your questions!

you can get married before you go to cabo for a leagal ceremony and then do a symbolic ceremony at Dreams. Yaria told me they have an American minister that does it as opposed to the Mexican judge that does your legal ceremony at Dreams. Also you don't need to do the blood tests or be there as many days in advance.

Yes you can have the reception for up to 20 people and then anyone over that is $40 per person and kids are $20. I believe this is the current rate but you would have to check with the WC at Dreams.

For some reason it seems like different people get quoted different prices. I would do a search on the forum and use the most recent price quote you can find. Then I would contact the WC at Dreams and see what quote they give you. Tell them your a member of this forum and that you were hoping they would honor the same price for everyone.

Also, what were people charged for the colored linens and bows for the chairs? I know that prices will change by June 09, but just a rough idea anyhow would be nice. I think they were like $1 back in 2007 but they will probably be more now. Again I would contact the WC at Dreams to get an accurate price quote.

Another question. I was reading some old posts about the legal ceremony being in spanish. If I were to go to city hall in the States and get "legally married" prior to going to Cabo would the minister be able to do the ceremony in English? If you get legally married in the states then you can have your symbolic ceremony in English. If you are going to use the officiant that Dreams provides then make sure that they speak English. Or you could hire your own officiant to ensure they perform the ceremony in English.

Sorry for all the questions. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks - Terri
No worries about the questions, that is what we are here for! smile03.gif
