1. I always use a face lotion with spf of 15+

2. Mac eye shadows (love their variety of color) and lip gloss

3. Clinque pressed powder, eye liner, and mascara.

4. Bumble and Bumble hair products. I also get my hair done every 6-7 weeks. I use paul mitchell hair coloring that my friend gets for me.

5. Go through my closet every few months and get rid of those clothes that I now think are hideous. A good piece of advice I got about cleaning the closet is "you know when you buy that outfit and you look in the mirror and say WOW I look good, you should be able to say that about every outfit that you own". Also if you have not worn it in a year, get rid of it.

1) Fish oil supplement- helps w/ skin and hair; and a daily vit. everyday. My mom swears by the fish oil...she's almost 60 and her skin looks great.

2) Fortunately I don't really break out so I just use Oil of olay products on my face. BUT I do believe in moisturizing your whole body after you shower. Another mom tip...

3) Teeth whitening by my dentist. It's worth it...the day after I got it done (of course I'm sure they were probably glowing still at that point), I would be talking and people would compliment me on my teeth/smile.

I'm very interested in the skin products posted. I need to be more proactive about keeping my skin young and healthy. I have noticed lately that my skin doesn't have as much glow as I would like. I have exfoliated but it still just looks blaw.

Is obagi an expensive beauty regime? I did a little bit of research and from what I've read it seems you have to go to a dermatologist to receive treatment. Is that correct?

I looked in to the Obagi as well ... but just don't see how I can afford going to a specialist to get a prescription for it b/c I am sure it is expensive, or at least relatively so.

The Yonka -- I couldn't find where to purchase -- I guess perhaps that is another to get from the doctor or an aesthician (sp?).

LOL.. Our routine is almost identical. I fell in love with the Philosophy products last year and have been using them ever since. I never go a day without using "Hope in a Jar"! It's my miracle moisturizer!!

  • jan marini eyelash thickener/legnthener` i used to have scrawny eyelashes...no more. i don't even wear mascara anymore and when i do for going out, it looks like i have fake eyelashes (my dh and sister thought they were fake)
I just finished my last laser hair removal treatment a few weeks ago and I was taking to the aestician about my skin, how it doesn't have the "glow" that I want for my wedding. She told me to try the Obagi C system. And it works! The first few weeks were terrible (reddness, dry patches...). I guess it detoxifies and exfoliates your skin. Now my skin looks great and dewy-like. It's expensive though...

As for the Jan Marini eyelash thickener: I was at work and was talking to my co-worker who I haven't seen in awhile. I immediately noticed her lashes...they were freakishly long! I had to ask her what the heck she did to them and low and behold she has been using the Jan Marini eyelash conditioner for a month. That darn thing works! I'm going to buy it soon.

I bought the Obagi C system over the internet. It was cheaper, and it never asked for a prescription.
