Hi Brittney,

We are considering switching to the Seagrape for our reception as well. What are your plans for music?

We are also having a cocktail reception the night before and are just using a CD player.

Thanks!

I am going to use a Bose Sound Dock with my I-pod for the music. My wedding is on a Saturday, so there is a possibility that the beach party could be that night. Chandalyn says they switch between Friday and Saturday nights. If the beach party is Friday, we will have the Seagrape reception for the wedding. And we will flip flop that if the beach party is Saturday. I e-mailed Chandalyn to make sure she could accomodate that. I had to budget on the music, because we were not planning on paying $10/person for the open bar, so we can't afford to pay extra for entertainment. Although...I think the regae band for the reception would be awesome.

Like I said before they brought down a ton of tables and chairs and the ping pong table for beer pong for us. Oh I have to find a picture of our banner. We had a banner made that said Mo and Tim welcome you to Jamaica with palm trees on it and the bartenders hung it for us. It looked really nice. Other than that I just brought candles to put on the tables and it worked out perfectly.
Mo...can you post your play list? We are starting to work on ours.

The disco at ROR is really, really fun. It is on the dim side because it is a disco and, you know, they don't make clubs bright. I still think it would be a great place for a reception. But, it only works for people that like to dance/party like that....people who just want to relax and take in scenery would probably rather be outside.

The disco will be private and you won't have onlookers/people not invited in your path. The other places will. I think if you have a dancing crowd the disco is a good choice, besides the beach doesn't close and you guys can always hang there after the disco. That's my 2 cents because we had a ball at the disco while at ROR. Great music too!
