aww thank you so much christine! i really hope i can incorporate the DW flair... i grew up in fort worth, now live in dallas, but we are having the wedding in austin. that's where i lived for several years when going to college/graduating so it has a special place in my heart. especially because that's where our relationship developed so it is a city that has a lot of significance to both of us and lots of good memories. i think it will be fun. i really wanted to get married on the beach, but i think i'll settle for maybe a TTD shoot on the honeymoon to make sure all the important people can be there. sorry to hijack! :)

I haven't found a way to make 4x8 cards at mpix. They have 4x6 and 5x7 but they are more expensive than the 4x8. That's why I suggested making the 4x8 with enough room to crop the edges and affix to a cardstock background. I think this would accomplish 2 things: dress it up and make it thicker...

What resolution are you saving your .jpg's to? Mine seem to turn out fine and my quality doesn't diminish at all when I save as a 300dpi jpg in Lumapix.

Thanks! It was definitly a BDW collaboration.

I'm thinking about just printing a few with vistaprint to see how they look. The first 10 are free. I'm looking for a cheaper upload deal. If they look nice, I might just stick with that. I'm not good at cutting a pasting. I usually get glue where I don't want it & I never cut straight lines. Even with a paper cutter.

They're great- that's what I used to make my invitations. They're little squares of, basically, double-stick tape. Actually, if you really wanted to be budget-conscious, just use double-stick tape! Get a cheap paper cutter (you can get them for like $10 at Hobby Lobby and other craft store) and cut like 1/4 to 1/2 inch off each edge so that there is a border when you tape it to the cardstock. I still think that would look awesome (and expensive!).

The 4x8 cards from vitaprint are actually 3.74" x 8.27". I have a sample that I've layed on top of a 4x8 christmas card. If I chopped 1/2 inch off the bottom, it would fit nicely on a piece of 4x8 cardstock.

Do they sell 4x8 cardstock pieces or do you buy sheets & cut them?

I'm going to order the 10 free 4x8 invites & see how they look. I'll be sure to take pictures. I'm getting the matte finish, because the 4x8 cards are not available in linen finish. I pulled out my sample notebook & I think the matte finish will look really nice.
