Thank you notes

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

So, we had a full blown (although untraditional) wedding at home before leaving for our destination wedding. Ceremony, reception with 100 people, the who bit! Now, it's time to send out Thank You notes and I'm completely stuck.

I know it's considered tacky to send pre-printed Thank You's but, there's no way I'm hand writing 70 some cards! That's insane! I know what you're thinking, ask your husband to help, well, his hand writing is really really really bad! I mean, truly awful! and mine is not exactly wonderful either!

Here's where the question comes in, I really need help with the wording!!!!! Everyone borough money so that should make it a little easier! :)

I want to order postcards with a scenic picture from Mexico and a nice little message.

Please please please help a desperate soul with the wording of her Thank yous!!!!

Thank you all, you're the best!pinkie.gifpinkie.gifpinkie.gif

Thank you for coming and sharing our day.

Hope comes from loving, and loving from friends.

After you left, we were left with the stars,

Near stunned by the grace with which such a day ends.

Know that your presence helped fashion our way.

You are the fields on which marriage depends,

Opening vistas no heart can convey,

Unloosing sweet music that now will be ours.

Hope this helps

Okay - I know this is not what you asked and my answer may not make me popular - but would you consider a way to make the task more manageable?

I would hate to see you take the chance of offending your closest family and friends. It is possible that if you are not willing to take 2-3 minutes to write a note to them, they will feel slighted.

What if you wrote something really simple like...

"Thank you so much for being a part of a our special day and for your generous gift.

We are looking forward to using the money to help buy __________."

If you did 15 cards at a time, that should only take about 30 minutes at the most. You could set aside one day a week to do that, and it would only take you five weeks to have them all done.

I have to agree with you on this. People put time into getting to your wedding and everything that goes into that. My sister had about 200 people at her wedding and she just slowly worked on them. Maybe hubby could write the ones to his really close family--people who can read his writing.
I know you asked for help finding a saying but I really think your guest will appreciate the time you put in.
Good luck
