Hopefully by the end of next week I will actually be able to run longer!!
My general rule is to increase my mileage by 10% each week, don't try to do too much too soon. Good luck!

Thats a good idea.... except 2 miles at 10% is what 2.2 miles haha I am HORRIBLE at running, but I am horrible at running. My goal is 4 miles tomorrow, then it will be good to do 10% a week after that... but this whole 2 mile thing isnt going to get me anywhere haha.

I've done a dozen halfs/fulls & tri's.. and the only thing I can seriously stress (besides the water) make sure to run the full distance once before the race! A lot of training programs will only take you to 11 or 12 miles.. and you will be unhappy on race day if you cut the training short!

Thats great advice, I have heard mixed comments about that. Some say you only need to run a certain amount and your aderenaline will get you the rest of the way, others say to run the full amount. Im with you, I dont think any amount of aderenaline can make you run that much... thats what training is for.

Adrenaline got me to the end of the race, but my body paid for it later! I would definitely agree to run the full distance while you're training!
