Did you say "yes" right away?

Recommended Posts

Oh, I see now why Tammy posted her proposal story!

Through tears I said "Are you kidding me?!" Immediately after that I said a big YES!

But he already knew it was definitely going to be a yes. When we talked about marriage and engagement I made it pretty clear that I would say yes when he got around to asking me. He did not appreciate the lack of mystery in my part, but seriously, it's not like we don't already KNOW we want to marry the guy, right? I always told him that I found it silly when guys that were about to propose would be worried that the girl would say No... I mean, why would you ask somebody to marry you if you are not sure she wants to marry you?? There should be NO doubt on both persons minds that this person is the one they want to marry!!

But Natasha... I think it's funny you made him sweat a little bit. In the future, if you have a daughter, you know that's going to be his lesson #1!!! Hilarious!

Karla it's funny you should say "I found it silly when guys that were about to propose would be worried that the girl would say No... I mean, why would you ask somebody to marry you if you are not sure she wants to marry you??" When I broke up with my ex-boyfriend (he was crazy, jealous, and controling) I moved out of his house into an apartment and didn't tell him where I was going, HE FOUND ME, he knew what city I moved to so he must have looked for my car. ANYWAY she he knocked on my door and I wouldn't answer it. So the next day he called me at work and said he wanted to merry me... I was like "are you freaking kidding me, I left you, I moved out because I can't stand you anymore, do you really think I'll want to merry you.....

When Cain and I started dating (we work together) I just thought I would "have fun" with him :-) but after the second date I just knew we would at least be friends for a lifetime and about a month later I knew I loved him and couldn't imagine my life without him... ha ha ha we told each other over email that we loved each other, we were both soooo scared to admit it.. lol

Sorry I guess this was all WAY off topic.. :-)

I said "yes" immediately! I knew it was coming, because we went thru the e-ring selection process together. But, I did want to let him say what he was going to say, so I let him do it. He was down on one knee, in the wet grass, and the whole place was watching us. I let him put the ring on my finger & said "yes I will" and pulled him back up to me for a kiss!

  • 4 weeks later...

I just totally freaked out! I was so shocked, I kept saying, "this is crazy, this is ridiculous", and finally I said, "Oh wait a minute, I'm supposed to say yes, do it again!" and made him ask me again, and then I said "yes".

He said I freaked him out BIG TIME!! Whoops, oh well, he'd had months to work up to it, and for me it was a total shock!!!!!!

Here's my story.

He wanted to go out on New Years Eve. I never go out than. I stopped in my late 20's early 30's. He knew this, but he convinced me to go. So, we went to the Outback resturant. Had dinner.

All through dinner, he kept asking me did I need to go to the bathroom and telling me where it was at. When I finally did, it was after we had finished eating and had order the containers to take our leftovers home.

When I got back, I thought he had put my food in the container, because it was closed, but he hadn't. I opened the container and there it was. I just started laughing and telling him get out of here.

He never asked and I never said yes, but it was official.

I just sat there, looking at the ring on my finger.... I didn't hear anything, just sat there... then started crying... then said yes.... I wanted him to do it again just like Magiemex, but he wouldn't. I was kind of in shock too! I think that in fairy tale books from now on, that the Kings and Queens need to tell the little princesses to always say yes right a way, that way is is almost like nature!

I did not say yes right away. lol

He was giving me this nice romantic hand massage, I love hand massages, (lit candles and after a nice dinner, etc.) while he was massaging my hand he slipped the ring on. I was so confused, I looked at my other hand and I was wearing my ring, I did not realise it was my ring finger, I looked up and said "what the hell" lol how romantic. Then he got down on one knee, did the proposal thing, and I just said yes and hugged and kissed him, he said to me about 5 mins later (still hugging) you have not even looked at the ring yet. LOL that is how caught off guard I was. Oh, I should mention, he had no idea how to surprise me, since we already decided we were going to get married, so he did it on HIS birthday. Just to totally throw me off. So, of course I was surprised.
