Jen - that's awesome that your nail girl noticed that you lost weight! What a great feeling!

You know what, I've always felt that one of the biggest keys to watching your weight is to actually watch your weight. When you constantly pay attention to your calories (even when you know you're over) or when you constantly pay attention to the amount of exercise you do each week (regardless if it's not as much as you like) then you tend to stay focused and it's easier to get back on track if you slip up. But when you stop paying attention to your calories and exercise, that's when you lose focus and the weight comes back on.

Last night I ate A LOT at my dinner out with my friend. First I had an order of onion rings as an appetizer and then I had a mushroom cheeseburger with fries. And to top it off, we split 2 desserts. YIKES!!! But I was good during the day so hopefully I didn't over-do it too much on the calories by the end of the night.

I'm going to workout again tonight (and probably every night this week) so that should make up for last night.

I haven't been on here in days. I don't think I will make the cardio challenge. smile35.gif

Work suddenly got very very busy. I am still controlling what I eat and trying really hard not to stress eat. and actually doing pretty well. However, exercise has not been good this week. It's only been a few days though. Not too bad (yet) . I have to exercise again before I get too used to not doing it. Besides, if I work out it will totally help with the stress levels at work.

Oh man, I was lazy last night. Wanted to do a full hour on the treadmill but ended up only doing 40 minutes (burned 500 calories.) No crunches either. At least I got my cardio in for the day. And I did manage to stick to my calorie goals.

Tonight I'll workout again and that will make 5 times this week. So that's good. I'm telling you, I keep going up and down with these damn two pounds. I need to keep working out. I think that's going to be the only way I start losing again.

NY Jen - it sounds like you're doing great! You will get over that 2 pound hurdle! Once again, I'm so jealous of your treadmill. I'm being lazy again tonight - if I didn't have to go out in the cold to go to the gym, I think I would work out... On a good note, I lost another 2 pounds! I'm not entirely sure how, since I haven't really been exercising in the past week, but I've been good with the calories. I need to get back to the gym. Will try tomorrow, but if not, definitely Friday. I'm with Jenvh on this one - if I don't start going again, I'll get into the rut of NOT going. My first dress fitting is the weekend after Thanksgiving, so I need to be good. Should be good incentive not to pig out on mashed potatoes and such :)

Wow Jen, you are daring to go for your 1st fitting right after Turkey day. But I guess it's smart too - keeps you in check during the holiday.

All those years I was a member of the gym, I would barely go when it was nice out, forget about it when it's cold out. Brrrrr!!! I HAD to get that treadmill or my butt would do NOTHING.

I agree too, if I skip more than one day of working out, I'll lose focus. I need to workout almost every night to make sure I stay on top of it.
