How are you doing your hair?

Recommended Posts

I'm going natural...I have always imagined wearing my hair in wild curls with my wedding dress, so I'm gonna do it. I'm even going to add some extensions to the back to thicken it up since my hair doesn't have that extra 'pop' I wish it did.

I also found these ivory hair pearls...I'm going to wear about a dozen of them, scattered throughout the curls..just here and there. Heres the link...

As for my hair...this is the closest I've seen to what I'm doing. Figures that its on a celebrity, but Jada is ok. hahaha

I found this on in another thread. This is what I'm thinking about doing. I'll have a white flower on top and a veil under the bun. Once my hair gets long enough I'm going to practice doing this myself. It's such a simple style I might be able to do it. Then I won't have to worry about getting a trial updo.

That is the exact hairstyle I want too! I love it!!!! Thanks for posting this pic, Morgan.

I'm still up in the air about my hair. It just now has hit my waist. It's straight and long. For my sisters wedding (first time) I wore it all up and I hated it afterwards and then the second time I wore it super curly and I still didn't like it. So I have no idea what to do. Getting my hair cut is a long process in itself. Maybe I'll do half up and half down. I don't have a pic of all my hair (it's hard to fit) but lets see...

First pic is my hair normally...

Second is it curly and I didn't like it

I know the pics are pink ...my niece likes to edit and she likes pink as opposed to normal bw.

It helps if you get one of these

They are $2.99. I can't wait for my hair to get long enough to fix it this way. I cut it short right before we got engaged so i'm letting it grow out now.

If I can make it look good on my own, I'll just fix it myself. If not, I'll hire someone. But, I figure it will help to bring the doughnut thing with me.

Are you wearing a veil? I want to have the chignon a little higher to be able to put a veil under it. But, I hope I can easily remove it for the reception.

Too funny...I actually chopped my hair too right after we got engaged, thinking I had plenty of time for it to grow back, but now it seems like it's taking forever!
There is a Sally Beauty right near me, I'll stop in to check it out...thanks!
Yes, I'm wearing a veil. I'm thinking the same as you, wear it for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception.

One piece of advice from a wedding I just went to this past weekend -- don't COMPLETELY change your hairstyle/look for the wedding. The bride is very much a natural beauty (little makeup, natural hair that's pretty short and has wavy curls). She had it done with tons of really tight curls and lots of make-up and it just didn't LOOK like her, or look natural at all.

I think this is great advice. That is why I decided against half up with the bottom curly. I never wear my hair curly. It's always in a ponytail. So I think a nice chignon will dress up my typical look, but still be me. I still really want to get ringlets someday, but I'll do it for a different occasion.

That's very true...thanks, Tami! My hair is always up, I try to wear it down and within an hour, it's up in a bun or ponytail. So, I think it would look weird if my hair was down or curled or anything.
