Freaking OUT - RIU CABO GIRLS!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I just inquired about the Rui yesterday and it looks beautiful, but my only concern is that I wanted to have the ceremony at a chapel or church and I didn't see an option for that. Does anyone know the answer to this?

There is not a church or chapel on site at the Riu resort however there is a beautiful church that some ladies have been married at. I believe Karla and some Edtya. There should be some pics under the Wedding Review Threads.

Ok so I have a question about getting married at the RIU CABO. Do you have to take one of there wedding packages?? Or can you go get married at the church and pick all your vendors yourself??OR is it better to get the cheapest package and take what you want from it and add your own stuff from therehuh.gif Like do you NEED to get flowers from them and music from them or can you pick who you want?? I'm LOST!!!

Honestly I am not positive about this, but I do know that you generally have to pick from their list of "approved" vendors. For example, when I chose my photographer there were supposedly 3 on the list or you could pay to bring in someone and they would have to be a guest of the hotel.

I would email Daniela to be sure on this as I purchased the Royal Package.

Thanks Kristen! I did see that church and it looks very nice so I was hoping that would still be an option if I choose the Riu :)

If you want a wedding at Riu I think you have to choose one of their packages. There are extras etc to add on. You can use your own vendors - but you have to add in the cost to bring them on site. Some girls have been lucky and havent been charged for everything but assume you will be. If you have a five person mariachi and its 70 per person to come on site - thats an extra 350 - lots of money in my opinion. The church I believe is in San Jose so if that is really important - you may want to have a hotel closer to the church - i think you are looking at a 30-40 minute bus ride. I dont know if they have a church in Cabo - other girls on the forum will be able to give you more info. :)

For the ladies having their reception on the Mexican Terrace - does this count as an A la Carte dinner for your guests? I know specifically with my package from Canada we are only allowed 2 a la carte meals.

Also I know the sand ceremony is performed after the real ceremony - but is it translated as well or does the wc/friend just perform it in english?

Hi girls, I just met daniela and I can honestly say that this girl is without a doubt an awsome wedding coordinator, she is extremely organized and I mean organized!!! big time, this girl has complete control of everything and is on top of everything. I am not sure if she is human but I am impressed with the wedding I just had at the RIU, she had 3 weddings in one day and she did it with such ease and perfection that I was amazed.

I talked with her for a few minutes and she told me that the managers of the RIU had told her that she is the only wedding coordinator that has had her emails answered before she left each day.

I am honestly impressed with this girl. Please dont worry about how your wedding will go because nothing will go wrong.

The resort is all inclusive so you should be able to eat at as many restaurants as you like. I have not heard of being restricted yet. I stayed there last year we ate at the a la carte restaurants 4 nights out of the 5 we stayed there.

I am not sure about the sand ceremony. I have the same question but forgot to ask her.

Do you get to say your own vows at the civil ceremony or do you have to stick to the regular program the judge does?
