Thanks for info everyone. we've been looking at the resorts in Jamaica for weeks now but can't seem to settle on a place. We find some potential places, but nothing that meets all our "requirements". For example, we want all inclusive, kids allowed, private reception, great beaches. There are a few places that meet those, just nothing that has really "grabbed" us.

So, we're actually looking in the Dominican Republic now....we'll let you know how that goes!

Oh, I had a quick question? How do we go about accumulating points? Someone had posted an excel spreadsheet detailing wedding prices at Paradisus in Punta Cana, but whenever we try and download it it says "we don't have anough points to do so".

Alternatively, can someone email it to me?

you need 50 points to open attachments - the easiest way to earn them is just by participating in the forum ... posting, reading, starting threads, adding pictures to your siggy, etc. in the meantime, i will donate a few points to you so you can open that attachment - if you plan on using that attachments frequently, i'd suggest saving it locally!

I am getting married at the Rose Hall ... we wanted something not too far from Montego Bay airport since we did not want a long commute for our guests ...we are having the wedding on a saturday and some guests are only coming for the weekend ... out of all resorts we visited, Rose Hall was the best for us. They closed portions of the resort all summer and until mid-end november to do a 35 million dollars renovations ... i really liked the resort when we visited before and I have no doubt it would be that much nicer once the renovations are done ... the only problem is that their prices are rising as well ... I am having a private reception 100-130 peoples ...
