What is this about saving so much money if you get married before? Is it because of having to be there four days prior?

You save money because you are just getting a legal wedding here on paper. I am getting married in the DR. We would have to get all paper work translated into Spanish, get all documentation approved by the Dominican Consulate. There are still legal fees here in my province. So i'm looking at 850$ at the end of the day. By getting married before "on paper" i'm saving over 600$, more so if my notary friend does it for free:)

We are getting married at the Iberostar Del Mar in Riviera Maya Mexico.  How about you?

Ok so what kind of rates are all you Mexico brides getting??  We still haven't booked yet b/c they still seem pretty high!!

I'm worried about the rates in April as well. 

My trip (hotel+flight) and wedding date are now officially booked!!!! Feels so great to have that big thing out of the way!

I am geting married at the Paradisus Palma Real resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

It does feels great to have the big things out of the way!!! Our last big thing was to book a photograher and we just did it last weekend!!!!

 

photographer is the next big thing on our list.. however we have a friend who is an amazing budding photographer.  She offered to do pics for us as a gift if she can make it to Jamaica.  We're just waiting to hear from her if she's going to be able to make the trip down. *fingers crossed!*
