How to involve your MOH and BM?

Both of our sets of parents are our witnesses, since we needed 4 and they also had to be in Mexico 3 business days prior to the wedding. We didn't want to force a departure date on our wedding party.

Now... how can we involve my maid of honor and the best man in the ceremony? I was thinking of having the BM read the hand ceremony reading... and have my MOH read the sand ceremony reading. What do you think? Would that be weird?

I think it sounds like a great idea. Are they still standing up with you at the alter?
